CAE-Aviation provides full AGSR services on short and long term contracts.
We provide you with role equipped aircraft, state of the art data collecting sensors and real time image downlink up to 180 Km.
CAE-Aviation can provide full IMINT services including database, storage and retrieval, supported by an experienced image analyst team.
We also take aerial pictures with geo-referencing and undertake digital elevation model creation with LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) for geographical information systems. Our typical fields of operations include:
Peace keeping operations AGSR / ISTAR
(Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance)
Force protection & internal security operations
Anti piracy & counter terrorism shipping and road convoy escorts
Power plant, oil rig and pipeline security
Economic exclusion zone, fishery and pollution control
Border and migration control
Disaster assessment
Forest fire detection, command & control

Geophysical survey
CAE-Aviation provides in house modified C208’s for geological survey flights to major costumers, with tail stingers, wingtip and LIDAR pods, provisioning to carry 3D FTG (three-dimensional full tensor gradient) technology devices, magnetometers, radiometers, hyper spectral sensors, etc.
IMINT
CAE-Aviation has its own IMagery INTelligence and Analysis (IMINT) branch composed of experimented specialists who are used to working in accordance with NATO procedures.
During a mission, the imagery analyst communicates permanently with the sensor operator to lead the mission in accordance with the customer’s requirements, and can easily update the targets via secure communications. He carries out the task from the ground either from headquarters with real-time downlink installation or from a mobile ground station located next to the field commander, providing him with real-time video and interpretation. The customer can attend the mission with the analyst.
The mobile ground station is mainly composed of: a monitor, a receiver and a radio (both secured), a recorder and its own power supply. This station requires line of sight with the aircraft. An immediate data processing is available with a mobile workstation. Those equipments allow the crew (two analysts) to set up the station in a very short time, either from a 4WD vehicle or from a building or a forward command post.
Via high tech equipment and software the customer will get detailed analysis and video/photo interpretation reports. The storage and management of a whole theatre in a database is achieved by the use of specialist imagery applications (a Geographic Information System (GIS) linked with a company developed application), such as automatic imagery archives creation, Geo referencing and 3D processing, video enhancement, etc.

TV Broadcast
We provide full support for events such as imagery and HF/TV relay, with a high stability and high definition imagery, covering a field up to 150 km range. Our quick reaction capabilities allow us to cover a wide range of airfields on short notice. We also provide longer ranges of broadcast with fixed and mobile receiver sites.
CAE-Aviation is a supplier of the video productions’ logistic for the Paris-Daker Rally since 1988.
LOCUST detection
Since the early eighties, CAE-Aviation provides air assets on short notice on every single locust control operation in the Sub-Saharian region.
We operate AYRES “TURBO THRUSH” with 1900 liters hopper tanks, ULV spraying systems, differential GPS guidance and spraying control.
Over the last 25 years, CAE-Aviation has been operating in every North African and Sahelian countries.
Combining the use of our AGSR configured C208’s with the TURBO TRUSH spraying aircraft allows cost effective migration control and detection of the swarms.
